Since its beginning in 1932, this franchise has given us a total of 13 movies, multiple video game adaptations, and even an entire spin off series called Scorpion King.

This film signals the start of a full reboot of the franchise which will total at least three new films over the coming years. Starring Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella and director Alex Kurtzman, The Mummy (2017) will be released in theaters June 9th. Fans of The Mummy movie series rejoice, 2017 marks the start of a fresh reboot of this classic franchise.
